Political Advocacy

National

As the largest trade association in the U.S., the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) advocates every day on behalf of the nation’s 1.3 million REALTORS® and 100 million property owners. NAR is widely considered one of the most effective advocacy organizations in the country.

For more than 100 years, Georgia REALTORS® have successfully advocated to protect private property rights, free enterprise, and the benefits of homeownership in Georgia. Through our political advocacy efforts, GAR serves as the voice of real estate at the state Capitol on issues critical to the real estate industry and the rights of homeowners.

The late Senator and 1972 CAR President Johnny Isakson speaks about the importance of investing in RPAC

Each year, the National Association of REALTORS assigns goals to each local Association to raise money for RPAC, the REALTORS® Political Action Committee.

Your Cobb Association of REALTORS has never failed to meet these goals, thanks to contributions from our Members and the efforts of our Governmental Affairs/RPAC Committee to organize both fun and profitable fundraising events. Please consider supporting your RPAC.

We will meet and exceed our goal this year through investments made at our Major Investor Event in March, during our current Dues Billing Process, and at least two RPAC Events later this year. Thanks to all of you who have demonstrated your commitment to the health of your profession and the American Dream of Homeownership! If you’d like to make a contribution of any amount at this time, just click here!

*GARPAC contributions are voluntary and are used for political purposes. Contributions are not deductible for Federal Income Tax purposes. The Association will not favor or disadvantage anyone by reason of the amount of their contribution, and you may refuse to contribute without reprisal by the Association. Seventy percent of each contribution is split between Georgia RPAC to support state and local political candidates and Georgia RIAC for issues mobilization and education. Thirty percent is sent to National RPAC to support federal candidates and is charged against your limits under 2 U.S.C. 441a.
