2018 Legislative Day at the Georgia State Capitol

Over 30 CAR Members met with 8 of our Georgia State Representatives representing Cobb County at the Capitol to promote our support for legislation which protects the rights of property owners across the state.  In particular, House Bill 410 is designed to stop HOAs and Management Companies from charging exorbitant and unexpected fees for estoppel/closing letters.

We were joined by Georgia State Representatives Bert Reeves (R-Marietta), Sam Teasley (R-Marietta), David Wilkerson (D-Powder Springs), Michael Smith (D-Marietta), Matt Dollar (R-Marietta), John Carson (R-Marietta), Sheila Jones (D-Atlanta) and Roger Bruce (D-Atlanta).  For a full list of the legislation discussed, click here.

One thing for sure, is that our REALTOR® voices were heard!  That’s the great thing about being part of the largest not-for-profit Trade Association in the country – the National Association of REALTORS!
