Cobb REALTORS® and Ameris Bank sponsored and volunteered on two consecutive Saturday build days at 1087 Old Bankhead Highway for homeowner Olin Hanner on February 16 and 23.

Hanner is an Atlanta native and a retired butcher who works as an usher for the Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Falcons. As a single father, Hanner worked to pay for his only daughter attend Georgia State University for undergrad and Georgetown University for graduate school. His dream is “to have a place for his daughter to stay when she visits that is a real home in which he owns.” “I know it was God who raised up the idea in my spirit,” said Hanner. “I had heard about Habitat, but I never thought to look into it for myself.”

The Cobb Association of REALTORS® (CAR) is in its second year of sponsoring a Habitat build day in Cobb County.   Bruce Ailion, 2019 CAR President said, “An important element of our Association mission is to advance the prosperity of our Cobb County community.  And given our profession, we can think of no better way to do that than to fund and participate with NW Metro Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.”
