CAR Charity Golf Tournament a Resounding Success!

The 2018 CAR Charity Golf Tournament, held August 20 at the Marietta Country Club, was an overwhelming success, providing a day of fun and relaxation for over 120 golfers and over $8000 in money raised for our designated charities, SafePath Children’s Advocacy Center and Habitat for Humanity.

Some golfers were there just for the fun, but there were also some serious competitors on the course.  Winning the 1st Place Championship Trophy with an astounding 18-hole score of 50 was the team of Adam Blank, Scott Davenport, Carter Smith and some guy named Chipper Jones.

As always, the overall objective of our Tournament is to advance the prosperity and health of our Cobb County Community by contributing money raised to our designated charities.  This year’s contributions will exceed not only last year’s but our own expectations as well.

Said Golf Chair Brenda Hardage, “Everything came together today, both in terms of Membership participation and the incredible generosity of our Tournament Sponsors.  And even the weather held out!  A big thank you to our awesome Golf Committee, for putting this together so efficiently and professionally!”
